I think the fact that the city of Galveston is allowing the residents to help make this decision is wonderful.
I would like to remind residents in Galveston that although change can be complicated and often not welcome, this is an opportunity for revenue and beautification of the island (obviously depending on the placement and plans of such developments).
I personally think that each development should be looked at individually, which it will. It may be hard to decide exactly how we feel since each site will defer in location and design. The owners and residents in Galveston are an important part of the cities growth. Good for the city. They should involve us more and this is a good step. Now lets work on improving our school quality and give the Galvestonians a reason to attract new property owners and neighbors.
